01 18 2012 The team made it to Istanbul Turkey by 7AM EST. The weather was chilly (34 F). After a layover, the team departed for Entebbe Uganda
at approximately 1035AM EST. They arrived at Entebbe at 603PM EST. They will be staying at a hotel inKampala and rest up a bit before pushing on.
I had SKYPE video contact with Elsie et al at 830PM EST our time. It's 430AM there. They are all tired but well otherwise. Got to see and talk to
Pastor's Paul and Hummer too. First time. Great! Check back for more tomorrow.

01 19 2012 The team visited the stone quarry near Kampala where some of the widows of Hummer and Alice ochim's ministry work. They then visted
some of the widows' homes as well. The medical team plans a clinic for 1/20 at Hummers home. Elsie is having some problems adapting her 3-prong
computer power to a 2-prong system. Hoping Leroy, Larry, or Zack can find something in Kampala. Note the dining area for the evening and the food
choice Zack makes. Looks good!

01 20 2012 from Elsie: "Had a very productive day, saw 52 plus people this afternoon! this morning we toured the Center (Ray of Hope) that works
with the widows and orphans. It was wonderful to see the progress that was done in just one year! They have an amazing Director, she has such a
heart of compassion!"

01 21 2012 from Elsie: "Good Morning from Uganda, up early, packed and ready to leave for Busia after breakfast, will probably not have wifi there! :
(, I have gotten spoiled being able to talk to my family and also text. Love to everyone and continue to pray for us for safety and good health."

01 25 2012   11:58PM EST   Just finished FACEBOOK chatting with Pastor Hummer Ochim (see him at www.widowshelp.org). He is in Busia today and
says Elsie is about to be a "preaching woman". One of her goals there is to leaded a Women's Bible Study so I am hoping she is seeing that dream
realized. Her PRECEPTS studies are treating her well! Hummer had to leave, so I have no further to report right now.

01 27 2012   11:30PM EST   Elsie called today while I was in Richmond and said they were all very tired but had gotten a lot done. She said they were
able to visit a hospital and found it miserable. She said it reminded her of a US Civil War hospital. People are just left there. They are not fed unless
someone from the outside brings them food. Equipment and conditions are deplorable.

Elsie did say the Uganda muission team did run out of medication before they ran out of patients in the clinics they were doing. The
need is great.

She also said she was indeed able to have a Women's Bible study meeting with the ladies there but the men insisted on being there as well so she
had a good size congregation. Sounds like the Lord had a Word for the guys as well!

She saw a shooting star while she was speaking to me. Elsie stated they only have a couple of more days to go there and they will be heading back.
They are going to make an attempt to connect with another US mission in Jinja. If that happens, I'll post that here to. Keep watching (and thanks for
your prayers for the team)! In the meantime, she let know she needed to hang up and call Keely. Oh, the pull of those grandchildren :o)

01 28 2012   12:00PM EST   Facebook Chatted with Hummer today. He says the team is in Jinja and he is back in his mission in Kampala where th
widows there are preparing more necklaces for USA sales.

Kay says Larry did call her earlier today and said it was hot there. Zack is eyeing the swimming pool.

Here's the current return schedule:

everything here is what I believe is our time EST):
1/30 Monday leave Entebee at 7:10PM
1/31 Tuesday arrive Istanbul at 1245AM
1/31 Tuesday leave Istanbul at 2:40AM
1/31 Tuesday arrive Dulles at 3:25PM

We appreciate your continued prayers for the team and the folks they are leaving behind in Uganda as well.

1/30/2012   Well, I woke at about 3:30AM and wondered why. Lo and behold, I check Facebook and there is Elsie and Zack posting about 20 minutes
or so earlier. They had a few minutes at a hotspot in Jinja so they were posting away. They were headed for Kampala and would there reconnect with
pastor Hummer Ochim (www.widowshelp.org), get some more of the widow-made necklaces, and depart for Entebbe airport to prepare for the return
home.

2/01/2012   After a harrowing connection in Isanbul, the group made it back to Dulles airport last night about 6PM EST, but it wasn't until about 8PM
till we could load them up and start home due to lost luggage, etc.

The mission trip appears to have done very well this and I will be posted some of the results soon so check back here for updates and thanks to all
for your support and prayers. Without you, it couldn't happen!
