FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is sponsorship?
In the name of Jesus, you can sponsor a child in Uganda through GREATER LIVING MINISTRIES. You will be providing food, water,
clothing, shelter, schooling and medical care for a child. You will also receive a photo and a biography of your child.
What does a sponsorship cost?
The cost to sponsor a child is $21 a month or about 70 cents per day based on a 30-day cycle. Payments may be made at any time.
Please provide your child’s ID # on all payments. For your convenience you can pay by credit card through PAYPAL, BillPay (through your
local online financial institution), or postal check. Payments are arranging via our SPONSOR A CHILD page.
If you desire, you may certainly pre-pay child sponsorships costs ahead of time in larger amounts. Suggestions are below:
3 months: $ 63.00
6 months: $126.00
9 months: $189.00
1 year: $252.00
If you wish to contribute an amount for more than one year immediately, simply multiply $21 times the number of months you wish to
contribute and use that total amount when selecting a child in the PAYPAL contribution section.
You will see a "QUANTITY" box. Simply select the number of month(s) you want to contribute your $21.00 and click the "UPDATE" link.
Your total contribution is calculated for your convenience.
How long will I need to sponsor a child?
The child you sponsor is depending on you. We are asking that you make a commitment to sponsor your child through high school (12th
grade). We understand that situations change and if you feel that you can no longer support your child, please let us know as soon as
possible so we can try to arrange another sponsor..
Can I contact my sponsored child?
We encourage you to write to your child. Feel free to send e-mail* letters, photos, and drawings to your child. Your child will enjoy hearing
about you and your family. When you are writing and sharing, please be sensitive to the conditions and environment of your sponsored
child. Your letters will be a great encouragement to your child and will pay spiritual dividends you can only imagine (MATTHEW 6:19-21**).
*At this time we do not have routine trans-Atlantic mail service to the Busia Uganda GLM facility. We do go to Uganda at least once a year (usually in January) and
want to increase that frequency to the degree it will continue to benefit the GLM mission and children. Until then, we do have good email contact with the Pastor at
GLM who can relay your child's messages and also send responses back. Once you become a sponsor, you will be provided with details necessary for child
contact. Those letters are precious to the children and we encourage you to write often. At a point where we do establish more frequently trans-Atlantic mailings,
we will offer you the opportunity to send traditional paper mail if you prefer. Watch this site for more news.
